This was our first time shooting at the stunning Castle Leslie Estate. It was an honour to be booked for Castle Leslie Wedding Photos by this amazing couple. This beautiful venue is situated in Monaghan on 1000 acres of Irish Countryside with ancient woodland and a beautiful lake. It is one of the last Irish Castle Estates and still belongs to the founding family since the 1660s. The Castle has welcomed everyone from poets, ambassadors to world renowned celebrities. I’m sure you can see the allure in having this stunning venue as a backdrop for your wedding. Castle Leslie is classically beautiful you are simply spoilt for choice when capturing photos both inside and out of this venue to which we took full advantage off with this beautiful couple.
Winter Weddings
With winter weddings you can struggle with light with such an early sunset. We always recommend couples to have the ceremony as early as possible. As you know, we are also a big advocate of advising couples to look through our blogs and website so you can get a real feel for what to expect rather than looking through a few photographs on instagram. Also you want to take into consideration the season you are getting married as a winter wedding will not look the same as a summer or autumn wedding. So for any perspective couples getting married at winter this is a great one for you to view. If you do run out of light or if it is raining…(what are the chances lol) there is so many beautiful backdrops inside so not to worry. Regardless of the weather and as mentioned above we wanted to take full advantage of this historic castle as the decor inside is perfect for capturing some after dark film style portraits so after dinner we took the couple away for 15 mins. We had such a blast with Hannah & Mac capturing their Castle Leslie Wedding Photos it really was so much fun to be part of their day, they really made it so easy for us and just let us melt into the background and let us do our thing.
